We love the opportunity to create a space that feels like a staycation. With a casual atmosphere, this lower level is an oasis for family and friends to go at the end of a long day, over a rainy weekend, or simply for an escape. A bright ceiling in the main room opens up the space, while the darker walls and floor add a cozy sophistication. To solve the challenge of concealing existing steelwork and other infrastructure, we built wood beams to carefully camouflage the area. The custom built-in bar features integrated appliances that disappear into the millwork and hidden around the corner is a state of the art gym to work off all the fun. After the workout, relax with a steam shower, stay over in the guest room, and start all over again.
