Comfortable Elegance

Classic lines and traditional style gave our clients a warm and inviting atmosphere in this former 1970’s kitchen that was too small for comfort. With a major expansion, a highly functional space was custom built to best suit the new footprint and accommodate the workflow of two chefs. Removing a knee wall provided several benefits – elongating the kitchen and realigning the windows to create more countertop space and storage, while providing a welcoming dining area and a cohesiveness with the newly renovated living room.

Relocating some appliances to the lower cabinet areas helps create clean sightlines, accentuating the overall linear appearance. The cherry center island with patina glaze along with the handmade glazed tile backsplash complements the countertops, cabinetry, and floor, while expanding the window area brings light in, adding to the ambiance overall.
