An open-air family gathering place was the goal for this poolside oasis. Starting with a blank canvas, we worked with the architect to position the pool and pool house in the most optimal way to complement the aesthetics of the home as well as provide enough backyard space for the occasional volleyball or badminton game. The client’s wish list included a fireplace, grill, bar, bathroom with changing area, and most of all, being able to enjoy the splendor of an outdoor room that also provided shelter. Along with the accoutrements, we also needed to build storage space and housing to contain pool equipment, including concealing the pump and filtration system. The finishing touches of the landscape surround the area, creating the ideal setting for a summer soiree or relaxing day poolside.
