The clients needed to do something about their existing front portico
that was in much need of repair. They wanted a change, but they didn’t
want to part with their beautiful stamped concrete front walk, so
we knew we had to stay within the footprint of the existing foundation.
Luckily the attractive brick landing was in excellent condition and
could be reused. They handed us a photograph taken of a vestibule
on a historic colonial home in the nearby borough that they had always
admired. it had all the elements they desired. We fashioned our version
after the original, but kept it proportional to the size and scale
of the existing home. |
